Jill has over fifteen years of professional experience in the design, management, and implementation of complex projects. Jill’s design efforts include residential and light commercial structures for both in-house Element projects and subcontracted architects and designers. Working closely with Element’s architecture team allows Jill to collaborate throughout the process, and makes sure the structural designs function properly and meet all applicable codes.

Jill is instrumental in coordinating the structural designs with Element’s 3D software and she has in depth knowledge of high wind design and detailing. Her communication skills are invaluable both in the office and on-site with clients, builders and subcontractors. Jill earned a B.S., Aeronautical Engineering and an M.S., Civil Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park. She began her career as an aeronautical engineer at NASA, became a manager at an Internet communications company, and then pursued her interest in structural engineering. Jill holds professional engineering licenses in Maryland and Delaware and has NCEES certification.
