Doug has been with Element from its inception in 2004. He is focused on blurring the lines between the creative and technical aspects of Element’s projects and places high priority on fostering successful client relationships.

With over thirty years of experience in residential, commercial, industrial, and transportation projects, his expertise spans the breadth of his discipline, from both civil and structural applications to business operations.  Doug’s hands-on approach is fully embraced by Element’s clientele, peers, and staff and is considered the hallmark of Element’s design approach.

Prior to Element, Doug worked engineering and business activities with Stone and Webster Engineering Corporation in New Jersey and ILC Dover in Delaware.  Doug has a Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering from Rutgers University and Master’s Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from Widener University. He holds professional engineering licenses in Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania and New Jersey and has NCEES certification.
